Everyday independence, made simple.

Which size do I need, and how do I adjust it?

StandSecure comes in two sizes. Both are height-adjustable, so you can set yours to fit properly — the right height is what makes it comfortable and safe to lean on.

  • Short — for people under 5'9". Adjusts from 29.5" to 34.3" (75–87 cm).
  • Standard — for people 5'9" and over. Adjusts from 33.5" to 38.2" (85–97 cm).

Together they fit people from 4'10" to 6'5". If you're right around 5'9", either one will fit — the two ranges overlap on purpose.

To adjust it: press in the push-button pin on the shaft, slide the section up or down to the height you want, then release the button. It will pop out through the nearest hole and click firmly into place. Give it a gentle tug to check it's locked before you lean on it.

To find the right setting: stand up straight with your arms relaxed at your sides, wearing your usual shoes. The top of the handle should sit level with the crease of your wrist, and your elbow should be very slightly bent when you hold it. If you're between settings, the lower one is usually more comfortable.

If you'd like a hand setting it up, email halesteadysupport@gmail.com — we're happy to talk you through it.
