The StandSecure does two jobs: it helps you walk with confidence, and — unlike an ordinary cane — it helps you stand up on your own.
- To stand up from a chair, couch, or bed: swing the lower support handle all the way out, then place the cane firmly on the floor between your feet, directly in front of you. Hold the top handle with one hand and the lower support handle with your other hand, and push down to steady yourself as you rise. Always keep one hand on each handle — never stand up using only the lower handle, or with both hands on it.

The light and alarm run on 2 AAA batteries (not included) — just pop them into the compartment in the handle to get started. Then:
- LED light: press the red button on top of the handle to turn it on or off — it lights your path for safe trips at night.
- Emergency alarm: press the red button on the side of the handle to sound it if you have a fall and need to signal for help.
